Hand strength is essential for functional fine motor. Think of our body as a tree. The trunk must be strong at the core, the limbs must be solid and moveable, and the twigs must be secure in order to grow leaves to help sustain the tree. Our body is the same in that it must be stable at the root to have mobility at the end. This is a three part series looking at our stabile joints to improve fine motor. We will be working backwards from the hand, to the arm, to our bodies core to explore activities that help us create a strong tree to grow those important leaves.
